On the one hand, we have Balcke Baltogar, founded in 1970 and on the other we meet Marley Torraval, founded in 1967. Since they were created, more than 10,000 installations, in all kind of applications, offer prove of their existence.OVER 120 YEAR OF EXCELLENCEBalcke Baltogar proceeds from Balcke Dürr, whose roots go back to 1883 when the company Röhrenkesselfabrik Dürr & Co in Düsseldorf was founded and to 1894 when the first wet cooling water design “Chimney Cooler” was invented by Balcke. The continuous development of products for power station reached one of its highest points in 2002 when the worldwide largest cooling tower was taken into operation at the lignite-fired power station Niederauβem in Germany.Marley Torraval proceeds from Marley CT, founded in 1922 in Kansas City as the Power Plant Equipment Company. Marley continuously developed its position as the world’s only full line cooling tower manufacturer, being one of the leading industry innovators in cooling technology. SUCCESSFUL ASSOCIATIONBalcke (since 2002) and Marley (since 2001) have been member of the SPX Corporation, a $5 billion global provider for technical products and systems, industrial products and services, flow technology and service solutions. SPX has operations in 21 countries and employs more than 24,000 people worldwide. Within this combine the EMEA team is focussing on the area Europe, Middle East and Africa.
